Substance Misuse Practitioner

Previous experience managing a caseload of substance misuse clients is essential. Any experience in substitute prescribing would be a benefit.

A Hampshire service requires an experienced drugs worker to manage a caseload of 20-30 substance misuse clients. The role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments, risk assessments and designing care plans. The successful candidate will work alongside the GP to establish a stabalisation or detoxification programme and key work clients in accordance with the care plan. This post would provide the opportunity to gain experience working with opiate users on substitute prescriptions. The service is based in an accessible location with parking. There is also the opportunity for the post to be offered on a permanent basis.
