The company is one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of large centrifugal pumps for the water and waste water sectors both here in the UK and overseas. Established many years ago they have around 1500 pumps in operation around the UK, manufacturing and installing around 75 per annum currently. As well as manufacturing new pumps they service and maintain existing products in the field.

Due to continued growth and as part of their long term strategy, they are now seeking to establish a stand alone Serve & Spares Operation, with a dedicated workshop, offices and its own fitters and engineers. In order to spearhead the development and growth of this new business they are looking to recruit a Service Business Manager, to head up the operation.

Essentially a ‘start up’ operation, this is a senior position within the company and will take full commercial and managerial responsibility for the new business. This will involve preparing an initial detailed Business Plan and financial forecasts, and together Sales, establishing and agreeing a Marketing Plan. The Manager will also set and control operational budgets.

The position would suit a technically and commercially biased manager from within a service type industry, preferably pumps. You will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of managing a small service operation, preparing and developing a business plan and show the vision and determination necessary to drive this business forward.

Prospects within the organisation are excellent.
