Qualified Social Worker- Referral and Assessment

Degree or Diploma in Social Work, or other GSCC recognised social work qualification is essential, as experience carrying out social work in a fast-paced statutory setting. Experience working within a referral and assessment team is a benefit, although there is the opportunity for this to be gained. The post involves handling referrals from other agencies, making initial assessments within statutory timescales and proceeding to core assessment or section 47 investigation as required. The post holder will carry a caseload of 15-20 cases on a short-term basis and will participate in a duty system. The post offers competitive rates of pay and flexible working hours.
