Tendering Manager

TENDERING MANAGER – Abu Dhabi, UAE - Ref: 3928

A leading construction group based in Dubai, is going through a period of rapid growth and is extending its operations into Abu Dhabi. They wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person in the position of Tendering Manager, to be based in the Area Office in Abu Dhabi.

Overall Mission: Reporting to the Area General Manager, the Tendering Manager will accurately understand, manage, price and report on Scope of all Tenders. Key Responsibilities will include the following:

1. Initial review to assess suitability of project, resource requirements and budget/quantity estimations; risks; special conditions and the like in conjunction with the Construction Manager/Engineering Manager.
2. Tendering including preliminary planning and programming in conjunction with the Construction Manager/Engineering Manager/Planning Manager.
3. Tender preparation including presentation and subsequent submission.
4. Post Award procedure – Compiling resources and other tender analysis information summaries for relevant team members.
5. Checking variations in line with tender logic.
6. Pricing change orders/VO’s as required.
7. Preparation of Internal rates for wetmix/asphalt (in conjunction with Accounts Department).
8. Internal rates for labour, plant and material to be prepared and forwarded to Group Companies.

Qualifications and Experience – Graduate Civil Engineer, with a minimum of 15 years experience primarily with civil engineering contractors and with a minimum of 5 years at this level. Previous experience of working in the Gulf and familiarity with outputs of labour and plant in the region would be a distinct advantage. Must be proficient in the use of standard planning and estimation software.

Employment Terms - Unlimited duration contract on a single or family accompanied basis with basic salary paid monthly in UAE Dirhams (pegged to the US$).
