Substance Misuse Practitioner

Previous experience managing a case load of substance misuse clients is essential. Previous experience working with clients with mental health issues is essential. Experience in a dual diagnosis role would be a benefit. A professional qualification (eg. RMN) would be a benefit.

A local mental health team requires a substance misuse specialist to carry out assessments, design care plans and key work clients with mental health and additional substance misuse issues. Clients may have issues with a wide range of substances and duties may include training other mental health professionals on substance misuse issues. The contract may be extended beyond the initial duration.
