IT PR Account Manager

Our client an award winning business is seeking a seriously motivated individual to join their very hard working and flexible team.

You will have a sound background in PR Agency work supporting the businesses very prestigious IT clients.

This particular role would also require you to have a high degree of IT / Technology skills as you will be supporting and producing for their IT clients.

The ideal candidate will be already working within the PR industry having all the necessary PR skills - excellent communication both written and verbal are require, coupled with a smart, appearance and dynamic approach.

Responsibilities include:
• Serving as strategic counsel to clients and provide consistent results
• Management of at least one Account Executive
• Demonstrating a thorough understanding of a client's business and industry
• Creating and maintaining press lists
• Distributing client news to the relevant media and following up as appropriate
• Coordinating and managing press tours and events
• Deputising for Account Director when required
• Producing high-quality written work such as press releases, case studies and byline articles
• Providing support for clients at relevant trade shows
• Working with Account Director to develop long-term plans and program recommendations for clients
• To support Account Director in all aspects of work, especially in ensuring PR and marketing programmes are delivered against agreed service levels
• Working with Account Director to grow existing accounts by selling additional projects and services
• Responsible for client relations, review meetings, entertaining and client budget approval
• Addressing any issues, troubleshoot problems and provides strategic counsel
• Ability to travel (often abroad) to support wider global PR campaigns

Minimum qualifications and experience:
• BA or BS in Business Studies, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
• 2 years public relations experience required; whether in house or within an agency setting
• Strong media relations skills, preferably within top-tier media
• Demonstrate the ability to manage campaigns working under pressure and to deadlines
• The ability to contribute to strategic thinking and the development and execution of PR programs.
