Field Sales Engineer - Midlands (SW Birmingham, Coventry, Banbury, Northampton, Kettering, Bedford)
The Company
Part of a global, multi million pound organisation, our client has attained a leading position as a manufacturer of industrial sensing & control solutions. Supplying to an established customer base with many prestigious customers in many different industries. They base their selling on developing strong relationships and therefore capitalize on many repeat sales opportunities.
The Role:
Reporting to the UK Southern Regional Manager the successful candidate will be expected to grow their sales area in order to meet sales targets as well as personal income goals. This will be achieved by developing new business opportunities within the existing customer base and by winning new customers, typically with a 75%: 25% contact ratio. The candidate will be expected to effectively manage their territory, uncovering and effectively qualifying appointments to fill out their own working week.
Our clients innovative technologies create new markets an opportunities. This will necessitate the employment of innovative sales techniques and strategies. The Sales Engineer must form long-term business relationships with existing and potential customers. The successful candidate will be expected to apply product, industry and market knowledge in order to secure and win new business. A knowledge of instrumentation and associated products involved with the monitoring of fluid and vibrations, position detection and control systems.
The Successful Candidate:
This position requires excellent communication skills. IT literate and a good working knowledge of MS Office products. The role will suit an enthusiastic professional who has sound electrical knowledge, ideally to ONC/HND standard. It will be necessary to live in the sales area. The sky is the limit for an individual who has high expectations and a focus on personal development.
The Benefits:
Training
Full product and sales training will be given internally to bring the successful candidate up to the required knowledge levels. External courses will also be used to enhance the individual’s abilities when required. A degree of training will be carried out at the Head Office in Germany.
In addition, experienced Managers and Specialists are on hand to offer support to the salesman and to customers when required.
BASIC: circa £28 dependant on experience + Excellent Commission & Bonus Scheme
