2. THE POSITION
2.1 Background
An opportunity has arisen for a role as Customer Advisor within the Technical Advice team (part of Customer Services function)

2.4 Reporting Structure

Working within the Technical Advice Centre, the role will involve working within a team of eight advisors, alongside two other teams of advisors. You will report into one of three Advice Centre Team Leaders

2.5 Scope of Role

You will be responsible for taking phone calls from consumers, decorators and stores. You will offer advice on our range of brands and products, dealing with any technical queries about preparation and application and a number of other technical areas. The role will involve handling complaints, logging these on our database, requesting samples having the samples tested and reporting the results to the relevant person/s. You will also need to deal with queries and complaints that come in via e-mail or post

2.6 Key Responsibilities


• To ensure calls are answered in a timely manner
• To deal with customers queries in a polite, positive and focused manner
• To deal with customers complaints, taking ownership from start to the finish of the process
• To manage your own workload efficiently and effectively

• The Laboratory Assessors



3. THE PERSON

3.1 Experience

Relevant experience in a telephone contact, customer service environment would be ideal.

3.2 Skills

• Excellent phone manner and customer service focus
• Organisational skills
• Computer literacy
• Time management



3.3 Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. Ideally grade C or higher.
