Leaving Care Social Worker (Young People)
Degree or Diploma in Social Work or other GSCC-recognised qualification is essential, as is experience of working with children and young people in a statutory setting. Experience working with clients who are Leaving Care (i.e. aged 16-21) is desirable. There is the opportunity to gain experience in Leaving Care if you have statutory children and family experience. The post will involve supporting young people through the leaving care process, designing pathway plans, carrying a caseload of young people including unaccompanied minors. The role will also involve providing advice and assistance to manage their transition and to provide independent living skills. This post is with a social services team in Southwest London and offers competitive rates of pay and the potential for a long term contract.
