AUTOCAD TECHNICIAN – Construction Industry

As an Auto CAD Technician you will be expected to develop the knowledge and skills attained during previous work experience within the construction industry.

Duties will comprise but not be limited to:

Conversant with CAD packages – AutoCAD 2004, Microstation, etc.
All drawings to be prepared in accordance with company drawing standards for A0, A1, A2, A3 or A4 size
Completion of standard title block to drawing in accordance with format
Completion of transmittal forms for drawing use
Plotting of drawings in accordance with company standards
Understanding of building construction and building services
Use of PDF software
Use of standard layers for drawings
Good with Excel.
Space planning of components in the building
Co-ordination between services, architectural and structural elements

Qualification Required: Demonstrate a knowledge of the following:

Mechanical services engineering technology.
Electrical services engineering technology.
Building construction technology.

You will be expected to have previous work experience in the construction profession and acquired knowledge or skills in the following areas:

All-round knowledge of the construction industry

IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
Possess written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Training support.
