INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL BUILDING SERVICES DESIGN ENGINEER

Duties:
Duties will comprise but not be limited to:
Preparation of design and site supervision of electrical building services
Lighting
Electrical services
Kitchen equipment (Electrical requirements)
Lifts
Fire detection and alarm systems
Security systems
Telephone and IT systems
Building and energy management systems
Value engineering analysis
Added value to the design
Calculation, design, mark-up drawing and specification of the aforementioned.
Review ‘as fitted’ drawings and operating and maintenance manuals.
Assist as required in preparation of health and safety plans and compliance in connection with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
Carry out troubleshooting exercises associated with energy consumption and the provision of suitable internal conditions, surveys, reports, schedules of dilapidation and feasibility reports.
Carry out preparation of planned maintenance specifications, planning of maintenance procedures and contract management and reporting.
Assist as required in preparation of budget cost plans
Assist as required in preparation of fee proposals, invoices and client management roles as appropriate (assisted by AD/Director)
Assist with training and staff development as appropriate

Projects would include comms rooms, town centre refurb and regeneration (mixed use – leisure, residential and retail schemes), commercial office redesign, asset surveys and condition surveys.

Qualifications:
You will be expected to have attained a recognised degree in the construction profession, be a chartered or working to become a member of the CIBSE, IEE or IMechE or have experience as a Building Services Engineer.

Skills:
Computer literate.
Good written and oral communication.
Must have a good technical understanding of M&E Building Services systems.
Team player.

Salary: £ 35,000- 40,000 inclusive of car allowance.
