Probation Service Officer

The applicant must have prior experience working with adults who are subject to a high level DRR or who are deemed hard to engage. Previous experience working within the Criminal Justice System or working with substance misuse clients, conducting assessments and carrying a caseload of chaotic clients would be a benefit. Our client would welcome a qualified probation officer who has experience writing PSR’s and using OASYS

The candidate will be conducting assessments and designing and developing care plans within a criminal justice environment. The successful candidate will be working in a preventative capacity, managing a caseload of adult offenders who are considered to be of the prolific nature. The applicant should be aware that the protection of the public, through advice to the court and other institutions and by the rehabilitation of offenders underpin all duties carried out by the candidate. The long term nature of the post facilitates development on both the statutory and non-statutory fronts, allowing for the implementation of candidate initiatives.
