Salary Range - £45,000 to £60,000

Our client an international multi-disciplinary consultant to the built, natural and social environment, with over 3000 staff located in more than 30 offices providing a comprehensive and co-ordinated range of high quality social economic, planning, environmental, engineering, surveying and management services to a diverse range of clients in the public and private sector. Due to the increasing workload within the Structural Solutions Team they currently have a requirement for a Technical Director of Rail (Bridges and Civil Structures), required to assist and promote their growth as part of the companies regional strategy. You will complement the existing team of 45 to deliver and lead their work within the Rail Sector.

The primary responsibility is to promote the regional strategy of growth within the London rail sector, providing clear technical and business direction. You will be a key member in the delivery chain, leading by example and promoting a culture of excellence within the team, delivering the local sales performance and maintain strong key account relationships.

Competencies required within the role include, drive and determination, marketing and business development, technical competence, good communication and risk awareness, and be a team player.

The position requires you to lead staff and advise colleagues promoting a culture of excellence. You will also be involved with the function’s resource planning and for setting and delivering high quality standards for design and delivery.
You will be responsible to the Function Group Manager, and work closely with him, the Area Director and Sector Directors to ensure mutual support and co-operation in delivering their respective objectives in accordance with Team UK strategy.

Essential Qualifications

Qualifications: Member or Fellow of ICE or IStruct E



Essential Skills or Background

Previous experience of Bridges and Civil Structures, within the Rail and/or LUL industry. Proven technical competency and ability, marketing and business development, network and commercial awareness.

Personal Characteristics

Team player, flexible, technically confident and able to communicate freely and clearly with colleagues and clients and have excellent written English
