Prescribing substance misuse practitioner

Experience giving tier 3 interventions to substance misuse clients requiring opiate substitutes is essential. Experience in a statutory setting is a benefit. A professional qualification would be a benefit.



A local service is looking for a substance misuse practitioner to take on a case load of opiate drug clients requiring prescribed substitutes (subutex or methadone). The role will involve taking a client through from the initial assessment and designing a care plan to include initial doses followed by titration to stabalise the client. The care plan will be an ongoing methadone program with a view to referring them into detox’s if required.
