Substance misuse (crack) worker

Experience case managing opiate and crack clients is essentials. Experience giving harm minimisation and relapse prevention advice to drug and alcohol misuse clients is essential. Experience facilitating groups would be a benefit, however for those who have the essential experience there will be the opportunity to sit in on some groups.



A local service is looking for a substance misuse practitioner to take on an existing case load of around 20 stimulant/crack clients. The role will involve running structured key work sessions during tier 3 interventions, investigating and offering advice on their drugs use, health, finance issues and also the social impact of their use. The role will also involve referring clients onto other services such as detox and assessing new clients into the service. The role will also offering harm minimisation and relapse prevention advice in a tier 2 drop in centre.
