Home Manager

Home Manager required for this Care Centre providing nursing and respite care for elderly people with physical frailty and occupies 36 beds. Based within a short driving distance from city centre Aberdeen.

The prospective candidate will take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the Care Centre and the general well-being of Clients and Staff Members. To ensure that all Company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements are adhered to within the defined timescales.
MUST BE QUALIFIED TO 1st Level Nurse (Nursing Care Centre) or NVQ Level 3 in Care of the Elderly and have prior experience. Would be ideal for someone who has worked as a Deputy Manager and is looking for the next step up the ladder.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Through continuous assessment and supervision, ensure all Staff Members maintain high standards, and contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Care Centre and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Clients.
* Assess social needs of prospective Clients in a Residential Care setting, or health needs of
prospective Clients in a Nursing Care setting, and subsequently monitor the planning and on-going evaluation of care.
* Monitor Care Plan documentation & undertake weekly review to ensure best practice.
* Undertake general nursing & personal care as appropriate to Clients’ needs.
* Liaise with the Activities Co-ordinator, Clients, Relatives and other Staff Members in the development of activities for Clients, which will enhance their quality of life.
* Produce reports (verbal or written) as and when required.
* Manage and maintain agreed budgets, in conjunction with the Operations Manager
* Endeavour to fill any Staff vacancy by advertising in the job centre or by contacting the HR
