Customer Service/Switchboard Operator

Manchester's only 5 star Hotel is looking for an outgoing and reliable person to work in our very busy customer services/switchboard department.

We are looking for someone who can work a busy switchboard as well as multi task several other systems key to the daily operation of the hotel. The candidate must be able to communicate confidently and clearly over the phone, handle several guest and staff requests at any one time, as well as talk them through any technical and IT issues they may have.

An EXCELLENT command of the English language, both written and verbal is absolutely essential! Also a good understanding of computers is important.

Shifts are 12 hours per day, 7 out of 14 days (not consecutively, usually 3 on 3 off, 2 on 2 off etc...). The package starts at £5.50 per hour raising to £6.00 after successful completion of a 3 month probation. In addition you have the opportunity to earn additional commissions from booking tables in the restaurant, spa bookings and upgrades to our suites. We also offer full staff uniform and discounted food, drink and accommodation at our hotels worldwide.

The switchboard is the centre point of our hotel and is therefore a great place to start if you're thinking of furthering your career in hotels. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
