Home Economist

Our client, a research organisation working with the food and drink industry is seeking a Home Economist with ideally an HND/Degree in Home Economics/Consumer Science or similar with GCSE Maths, English and Science and a Food Hygiene Certificate. This is a very interesting and varied position for an enthusiastic person who wishes to progress in a challenging role.

You will be working in the many aspects of food quality and sensory analysis, undertaking technical duties relating to product evaluations, bench marking and surveys. You will be expected to: prepare client reports, sample evaluations and data comparisons; conduct desk research, assist in seminar organisations and prepare and deliver presentations.
The ideal candidate with have a passion for food (!), good organisational skills, with an eye for accuracy and detail and the ability to work to tight schedules. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good technical knowledge with an understanding of food and food preparation are a prerequisite.
