Principal Technical Safety Engiener

My client has a proven track record of providing products, services and consultancy to more than 550 clients in over 60 countries across the globe with more than 30 years of experience and expertise.

Main responsibilities
Managing projects associated in Safety and Risk Management from inception to completion.
Delivery of projects
Writing proposals and submitting to clients. Sitting down with clients in a technical function to determine key areas that are safety related. Act as advisor to client on technical matters relating to projects.
Managing projects with financial and budget responsibility.
Providing guidance to peers, junior staff, mentor their learning and growth.
Keeping up to date with industry changes and trends in the market, updating of company CV for client review
Act as technical excellence on all matters relating to Safety & Risk, Hazard awareness on projects relating to clients
Business Development responsibilities within team, (discipline staff, technical, marketing etc) Ensure clients needs are met, attend client meetings and kick off meetings.

Technical capabilities:
10 years + experience in Technical Safety related projects associated to Oil & Gas industry. Preferably 5 years in offshore environment and 3 years in North Sea operations. Must hold a (Hons) Degree in an engineering discipline, Chartered status would be preferred. Safety and project management experience in Oil & Gas field. Excellent report writing, presentation skills etc. Have delivered all aspects of safety engineering, risk assessment, risk management, Safety Cases & Consultancy

Be proficient in the following;
Risk analysis and risk management (HAZID, QRA, FEA, reliability & availability)
• Define reliability criteria
• Value performance criteria (calculation work)
• QRA, Safety Case/Performance standards, design
