Substance Misuse Nurse

The successful candidate must be an RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) with at least one years experience in a prescribing role. Previous experience working in Tier 3 substance misuse essential. Experience working in a Tier 2 setting would be a benefit.

The role will involve working at a drop-in centre offering advice on matters such as harm reduction. The successful candidate will be required to make initial assessments, design care plans and also hold a case load of around 15 clients. The role will primarily involve initial prescriptions for opiate substitutes (methadone and subutex) as well as working with existing maintenance scripts. Working in a small team based in London and reporting to the service manager, the successful candidate will be expected to quickly adapt to the role. There may also be the opportunity for this position to be extended.
