Senior Process Engineer

Process engineering technical support and consultancy primarily to the international oil, gas and LNG industries covering feasibility, front end design and availability/reliability modelling through to debottlenecking, performance improvement and trouble shooting of operational assets for multi-phase pipelines, offshore infrastructures, gas terminals and LNG facilities. The role does not include detailed design.

Experience/Knowledge

• The candidate should have experience in process engineering aspects of the upstream oil and gas industry from the wellhead through production facilities to oil/gas processing facilities (but not refinery).
• Ideally the experience would be from more than one perspective (e.g. a combination of facility operator, consultancy, design house, service provider, etc).
• A knowledge of issues and challenges associated with gas/condensate systems would be desirable.
• A working knowledge of the computing tools commonly used in this field would be advantageous (e.g. HYSYS, Olga, Pipesim, etc.).
• Experience of flow assurance and gas processing issues associated with oil and gas production and specifically those associated with gas condensate systems, subsea completions and tie-backs to existing facilities.
• Previous experience could ideally include concept selection studies, process trouble shooting, brownfield projects and process simulation.

Other Attributes/Requirements

• The ability to take a project (<£100k) through from initial client discussions, to proposal, to execution, to project delivery (requiring individual and team working ability).
• Good communication skills are important, both verbally and in the production of written technical reports in English. The latter requires a demonstrable ability to write in a clear and concise language that is required for an engineering consultancy.
• The candidate must have a valid passport and would be expected to work in client offices UK and worldwide.
