SAS DEVELOPER - TEAM LEADER

Leading financial Services Company in Randburg has a challenging position in its Information Communications Technology division for a Manager SAS to manage and supervise staff and to ensure that programs are developed on time and to specification. Tests and quality controls work produced and Focus on mentorship of reportees.

Responsibilities include but not limited:-

SUPERVISION AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
•Effectively supervises all subordinates and ensures that individuals perform in accordance with job requirements, defined targets and company standards
•Holds regular meetings with subordinates in relation to performance, target settings and allocation of work
•Manages employee performance by addressing any performance related issues by holding regular meetings with individual subordinates as well as performing formal quarterly performance appraisals with subordinates
•Plans manpower needs, organises and allocates work based on level of urgency, importance and individual subordinate’s work loads
•Maintains employee relations and Identifies training and development requirements of subordinates
•Trains, mentors and coaches subordinates
•Selects, assigns and leads / manages people
•Maintains shared values and develops a challenging and rewarding work environment
•Provide guidance to assigned developers and feedback on learner’s abilities and improvements
•Provides recommendations on changes to mentorship programmes
TESTS AND QUALITY CONTROLS ALL DEVELOPMENTS
•Quality control framework for all developments emanating from team
•Development of SAS programmes
•Interpret business on requirements
•Define constraints and deliverables
•Programming, testing, implementation and documentation
•Campaign Project Management and Co-ordination
•Ensures that relevant rules are applied in selecting appropriate contact addresses
REPORTING
•Compiles & submits all required & ad hoc reports timeously & accurately
•Performs all other related duties
•Performs all other related duties that may be required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
•Matric plus equivalent Degree in IT
•5years SAS working experience
•Good computer skills incl. SAS
