Marketing Executive / Market Intelligence Specialist

A $1.5 billion global corporation, our client is a market leading manufacturer of cabling, wiring and connectivity products for a variety of industries including broadcast, telecommunications, building infrastructure and industrial control.
Armed with a very ambitious plan to become a strongly branded, total solutions provider and significantly increase sales and profitability worldwide, the company is investing heavily to double its sales and marketing team, through the recruitment of high calibre, high potential European marketing specialists ideally from either the broadcast, building services or industrial automation industries.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, EMEA, you will be part of a brand new team tasked with taking a blank sheet of paper and making the strategic objectives a reality through the development and implementation of a detailed marketing plan.

To date, marketing has been very product specific and has not been focused enough on identifying new market opportunities, supporting the sales team or proactively identifying product development opportunities with customers. Apart from bringing a blue chip, market leading marketing structure and ideas to our client, the main objective of the new department will be to:

- introduce new profitable product market combinations, driven from marketing plans.

- perform market analysis to detail market segments, characteristics, sizes and trends for each.

- collect and analyse data with respect to competition, customers and technology.

- take responsibility for all product / program rollouts by market sector.

- work closely with sales, engineering and manufacturing on design, distribution and product specifications / changes.

Candidates will have a degree in a commercial discipline, prepared to do an MBA and a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience within a business to business, blue chip environment. You should be a self-starter who thrives on lateral thinking and operating in a rapidly changing and moving environment that will offer you limitless career progression. Fluency in English and a second European language is ESSENTIAL.
