Product Manager

A $1.6 billion global corporation, our client is a market leading manufacturer of cabling, wiring and connectivity products for a variety of industries including broadcast, telecommunications, building infrastructure and industrial control.
Armed with a very ambitious plan to become a strongly branded, total solutions provider and significantly increase sales and profitability worldwide, the company is investing heavily to double its sales and marketing team, through the recruitment of high calibre, high potential European Product Managers from a blue chip manufacturing organisation.

Reporting to the Product Portfolio Manager, EMEA you will be part of a new team tasked with taking a blank sheet of paper to develop and implement a Product Management department. Apart from bringing a blue chip, market leading product management structure and ideas to our client, the main objective of the new department will be to:

- Develop value based pricing strategies and capabilities.

- Develop a best practice set of analyses and tools to consider when setting individual product pricings.

- Drive pricing process excellence – productivity, margin expansion, consistent methodologies and skills development.

- Successfully manage product life cycles.

- Translate analysis into specific business recommendations.

- Implement a communication framework to use with senior management when reviewing pricing decisions.

Candidates will have a degree in a commercial or technical discipline, prepared to do an MBA and a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience within a business to business, blue chip environment. You should be a self-starter who thrives on lateral thinking and operating in a rapidly changing and moving environment that will offer you limitless career progression.
