Business Development Managers
A $1.6 billion global corporation, our client is a market leading manufacturer of cabling, wiring and connectivity products for a variety of industries including professional broadcast, telecommunications, industrial automation and building services. Armed with a very ambitious plan to become a strongly branded, total solutions provider and significantly increase sales and profitability worldwide, the company is investing heavily to double its sales and marketing team, through the recruitment of high calibre individuals from any industry. Three new roles have been created in the UK for Business Developers.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the main objective for this role will be to:
- Given a blank canvas you will focus on a target industry (professional broadcast, telecommunications, industrial automation or building services) and create new business opportunities with end users, OEM’s and distributors.
- Home based, you will be supported from EMEA’s Sales and Marketing Head Office near Manchester.
- Work closely with the market intelligence team to identify prospective new customers and potential new market opportunities.
- Work closely with the market intelligence team to understand competitor activities, products and pricing.
- Work closely with marketing to feedback new product ideas.
- Be the key interface and source of information for new customers.
Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years sales experience and have a proven track record of new business development in any market sector and will thrive on creating sales opportunities from scratch. Experience in one of the above industries would be advantageous. You should be self-driven, results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
