Our client is looking for a Technical Account Manager within the Automotive industry.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated and have Tier 1 experience. They must also have CAD experience within the Automotive industry. As this role will involve travel both within the UK and Europe and possibly Japan they must be a passport holder with a full clean driving licence. A high level of computer literacy is desirable. Strong commercial experience especially within the field of cost estimating is key to this role. They must be a team player with a proven background of project management or team leadership.

Main Responsibilities:
To liaise with customers to ensure an effective two way communication in terms of commercial and the rest of business activities.

Key Tasks:
To meet annual departmental objectives which align to company objectives.
To keep within areas of the departmental budget.
To select and target new business.
To support and maintain the sales forecast for the 5 year plan.
To communicate new customer enquiries to the company and maintain a tracking system.
To procure customer orders/amendments and to make sure payment is received.
To track customer piece price and tooling on current and new projects to ensure profitability is maintained.
To coordinate, monitor and track RFQ’s raised.
To support Company activities both internally and with the customer.
To support customer activities in house and at customers.
To prepare monthly sales reports and attend meetings where necessary.
To deputise for the Sales Manager when applicable.

Qualifications/Experience:
The incumbent should be self-motivated with extensive customer and commercial management experience. They should have a sound commercial background and good engineering awareness. Must have ability to communicate at all levels and develop good working relationship with customers. They should preferably be educated to HNC level in a relevant discipline.
