Location: South West Midlands

Main Responsibilities:
To Maintain and develop the Supplier - Customer Relationship.
To ensure the daily Customer requirements are met in full and measure delivery performance against these requirements.
To comply with and maintain customer systems
To have active involvement in achieving the departments Kaizen targets

Key Tasks:
To obtain and negotiate the customers requirements
To create a feasible Monthly Production plan based on the Heijunka Principles
To plan production on a daily bases to meet customer demand and achieve the target Stock levels
To ensure the right product is build in the right place at the right time in the right quantity
To monitor, analyse and improve achievements against plan
To Liase with the customer on a daily basis
To monitor, analyse and improve customer delivery performance
To review and resolve any customer delivery discrepancies
To analyse manufacturing data and feedback to customer and manufacturing
To analyse sales trends for OE and Service
To keep Manufacturing informed throughout the day on customer status
To create and issue the Production authorisation (KPS) tickets
Create the despatch authorisation sheets
To inform Despatch of customer pick up times or transport requirements
To create customer box labels and issue to despatch or manufacturing
To achieve and maintain a 6 S working environment
To be part of a team of production controllers and maintain and improve interdepartmental communication
To further develop and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with TS16949

Qualifications/ Experience:
H.N.C. business or equivalent.
Good It skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
Experience within the automotive industry, dealing with Toyota, Nissan, Landrover, Volvo, Honda, Bentley is preferential
A high level of communication and motivational skills and a well developed approach to problem solving are essential..
Good knowledge of Japanese manufacturing philosophy and techniques (J.I.T, Kanban, Heijunka, Kaizen.
