Education Welfare Officer

Experience working in a statutory setting essential. Knowledge of education welfare and helping young people maintain their education within a statutory setting also essential.



A local authority is looking for an experienced school based education welfare officer to ensure that young persons are accessing the full range of educational support they are entitled to and to maintain school attendance. The role will involve liaising with school to undertake planned interventions with young people and their families, maintaining records and preparing reports for multi agency meetings and child protection conferences as well as offering advise to schools, parents and pupils.
