Quality Development Technologist

Reports to: Technical & Innovation Manager


Basic Function
To assist the Technical & Innovation manager in maintaining accurate conversion process documentation; supervising development projects; reviewing quality procedures, specifications and systems; running periodic internal training programs; liaising with raw material suppliers.


Nature and Scope
Ensure that quality is promoted both internally and externally and that standards are maintained in the workplace. Challenge the relevance of current specifications and test methods; supervise and instigate product developments; advise production on any technical/quality issues; maybe required to work occasional shift cover;

Principal Accountabilities
Instigation, supervision and reporting of internal and external development trials
Responsible for ISO 9001/2000 Quality system and internal process specification up-dating.
ISO 9001/2000 Quality system auditing
Responsible for PAA testing
Liaising with suppliers on quality and development
Supporting site ETS
Provision of development samples
Actively participation in both Internal and External Audits.
Process laboratory testing regimes.
