G.P. shared care practitioner

Experience giving one to one interventions to substance misuse clients with a need for prescribed substitutes is essential.


An expanding local service is looking to expand its team of GP shared care practitioners working across a number of surgeries, all of which can be accessed by car or public transport. The role will involve giving one to one interventions on class A users who are on maintenance scripts through their local surgery. This will include performing initial assessments, designing care plans to include key work sessions and initial recommendation doses (both initial and adjustments through titration). The role will involve maintaining vigilance for on top usage as well as symptoms of over dose.
