Group Leader (Geotechnical Engineering)
MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
Ø Secure new work in accordance with the budget and business development plan at appropriate fee levels.
Ø Manage the geotechnical group business at the Birmingham office so as to achieve agreed sales and profit targets.
Ø Work to build a geotechnical team working with the established Environmental Teams in Birmingham and the Midlands, appoint, develop and retain high calibre professional staff, to expand capabilities.
Ø Build strong relationships with other Group Leaders and Consulting Group Managers within the group.
Ø Establish and maintain high technical standards.
Ø Manage the delivery of projects through resourcing and planning and ensure customer satisfaction.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Ø Minimise risks to the business through diligent commercial management.
Ø Apply the Company’s Health & Safety procedures and ensure employee welfare
Ø Apply the Company’s Business Management System, including those components relating to Quality Assurance.
Ø Liaise with Marketing team regarding business development support, promotional materials, corporate hospitality, events etc.
Ø Provide reports required to the Consulting Group Manager and the General Manager of the whole consultancy group.
