Our client provides multi-discipline engineering services in Norway and internationally. The company has frame agreements with large operators and contractors operating within the oil and gas business.

Our client has a requirement from a major operator within the oil and gas industry for a Project Cost Estimator. The role will be on a contract basis for appox. 1 year and will be based in Tanager (near Stavanger), Norway. You should be degree qualified or equivalent and have experience within engineering and project management.

Your main responsibilities would include providing the operator management with cost estimating information that enables decision making, preparing CAPEX & OPEX Cost Estimates for project funding purposed and providing cost and man hour input to Cost Control, Planning and Project Risk Analysis.

You will also be responsible for assisting in bid evaluation, reviewing and validating contractors and other estimates, providing metric analysis using historical norms from database and assisting other disciplines in making judgments and decisions based on cost.
