Senior Engineer - Main Steel Analysis

Our client provides multi-discipline engineering services in Norway and internationally. The company has frame agreements with large operators and contractors operating within the oil and gas business.

Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer - Main Steel Analysis to work on a contract basis in Oslo until May 2008. You should be degree qualified or equivalent and should have previous experience in analysis on offshore platforms (preferably using SESAM) and a good knowledge of main steel structures.

You will be involved in producing FE-models using SESAM for critical main structure areas in the deck structure, evaluating FE analysis and documenting this, performing code checking of main steel decks etc. according to NORSOK/DNV rules and producing reports and giving input to the 3d modelling and drafting group.
