Nurse Practitioner

The applicant is required to have experience working with substance misuse clients. Either a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse qualification would be a benefit. The candidate will working as part of the community based multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for delivering assessments, prescribing and intervention services to adults with substance misuse problems. Additionally the successful candidate will manage a caseload of adults with poly substance misuse problems and will assess client needs in order to implement appropriate care plans, which address the client’s substance misuse. Further to this the candidate will be acting as a specialist assessor and key worker within the community care framework. The post holder will also operate within the drop-in access service, offering immediate harm reduction advice and information.
