Project Engineer, Multi Discipline - Main Emphasis on Piping, Contract (Dec 2009), Stavanger, Market Rates

Our client provides multi-discipline engineering services in Norway and internationally. The company has frame agreements with large operators and contractors operating within the oil and gas business.

Our client has a requirement for a Project Engineer. You should be of a multi discipline background with the main emphasis on piping and you should have experience of Offshore Project Engineering. This is a contract role; the duration of the contract will be until December 2009 and will be based in Stavanger, Norway.

You will be involved in work on the Greater Ekofisk project and will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the project piping, structural, instrument, safety project leads and ensuring project engineering milestones are met. You will be required to ensure project problems are resolved for engineering, design and materials and to liase with fabrication and OPC team. You will also be expected to attend relevant project meetings.

Experience with MS Office, SAP and ProArc is required and knowledge of PDMS is an advantage but not essential.
