Pensions Solicitor

We have opportunities within our Clients Pensions department for NQ - 5 PQE solicitors to join this well established and busy team. The Pensions team forms part of the Company and Commercial Department, and comprises three partners, one director, two associates, six solicitors; one trainee solicitor, four pensions regulatory managers, one professional support practitioner and three paralegals.

The team is instructed by both national and international clients. It also works closely with the teams in Private Client, Corporate and Insolvency. The team also offers an independent trustee function.

Based in the Newcastle office, this team offers plenty of interesting and challenging opportunities for client contact, drafting documents, and negotiating complex transactions. The Pensions team also offers the opportunity to get involved in contentious work, ranging from individual complaints and disputes to Pensions Ombudsman and court proceedings.

Thorough training gained within a City or regional firm and the desire and aptitude to undertake a wide range of challenging and varied work. Commercially aware and technically proficient, a genuine interest in Pensions law is essential for this role.
An interest in business development would be advantageous.
