Youth Offending Team Social Worker
The candidate must have a Social work degree, DipSW, CQSW, CCETSW or any other GSCC recognised qualification is essential. In addition a minimum of 3 months experience working with children and families or youth offending clients in a statutory setting is essential .
The post will involve the successful candidate working as part of a multi-agency Youth Offending Team to aid in the prevention of gang crime. The position will require the candidate to provide an effective service to young people and their families in order to prevent and reduce offending behaviour. The candidate will be responsible for the production of risk and vulnerability assessments, as required by the court and the maintenance of court case records and the logging of court outcomes. The candidate will also manage a case load of clients involved in or at risk of gang crime activity. Flexible time is also available.
