Paralegal

We are looking to appoint two Paralegals to join the Housing Investment Team within our clients Commercial Property Department.

The Housing Investment team deals with all aspects connected with the sale, purchase and management of residential investment property as well as the disposal of estate plots for both public and private sector housing developers.

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing a broad caseload of conveyancing work for (in the case of the first position) a variety of housing association and house builder clients, and (in the case of the second position) a growing portfolio of residential rental properties for a plc client. The first position will entail primarily dealing with the disposal of housing units on new build housing estates, and the second position will be based around the programme of disposals and lettings associated with large equity release and buy-to-let holdings. Working as part of a large team the Paralegals will handle a busy caseload and actively assist in the continued growth and future development of the department.

The ideal candidates will have at least two years' general conveyancing experience and be able to handle the pressure of a high volume caseload with quick turnover times. The role involves considerable client contact on a one-to-one basis; therefore excellent client handling skills are essential. Candidates must have good team working skills, IT skills and be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines. A flexible, commercial approach to work is needed for this role.
