Solicitor 1 PQE

Due to the expansion of work within the Finance and Investment Team a vacancy has arisen in our Clients Property department for a 1 year qualified solicitor to join this well established and busy team. The Finance and Investment team comprises five Partners, one Director, four Associates, five Solicitors and one Trainee Solicitor.

The team acts for many high profile clients including High Street Lenders, investment companies and educational institutions.

Based in the Newcastle office, this position offers plenty of interesting and challenging opportunities for client contact, drafting documents and negotiating transactions on a mixture of commercial and residential work.

Specific areas of the team's work includes property finance including development finance, portfolio management and contracting agreements, landlord and tenant issues, wind farms and telecommunications masts and corporate support.

A year's solid post qualification experience coupled with the desire and aptitude to undertake a wide range of challenging and varied work. Commercially aware and technically proficient, an ability to provide practical commercial solutions to a wide range of clients is essential for this role.

There will be direct client contact from day one and the ability to communicate with clients is essential.

An interest in business development would be advantageous.
