Oil and Gas Surface Development

Exploration and Oil & Gas Development – Qatar

Do you want to be a catalyst in energy development? Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, you will contribute directly to the development of Qatar Petroleum’s operated oil and associated gas fields.

Head of Offshore Gas Facilities Development (HH446046)
You will review, verify and endorse the development plans related to offshore gas development projects under JV and Development Production Sharing Agreements. Review feasibility studies, FEED, detail design activities for the offshore gas facilities including platforms & associated auxiliary systems and pipelines. Maintain a technical and commercial database for the offshore gas facilities, which shall incorporate capital and operating expenses for ease of benchmarking. Undertake necessary contacts with Gas Field Operators to benefit from lessons learned to optimize any new developments and help to adopt a proven offshore cost effective design. Encourage maximization of offshore synergies between the various Gas Projects. Familiarity with Hysim, Pipephase and Questor desirable. The successful candidate will have a BSc in Chemical Engineering with a strong mech engineering content and Chartered Engineer status, together with extensive experience in petrochemical, oil and gas and refining plants with exposure to plant operating and design practices.

Head of Process and Studies (HH446047)
You will evaluate and verify the process engineering design of all JV and DPSA integrated oil and gas development projects in Qatar, with an emphasis on standardization to reduce the overall cost and improve the life cycle economics of each new project. Supervise and endorse the process studies conducted in-house or by International Operators to select different licenses for all process units of the new projects. Develop and verify – jointly with EP department – all potential business opportunities of integrated gas developments whether for local or for international markets. Transfer experience and lessons learned from implemented projects into the new projects. Develop the local gas/ethane supply and demand forecast to ensure adequate gas supplies are available for consumers. Knowledge of SAP and related software desirable. The successful candidate will have a BSc Chemical Engineering or equivalent, with extensive experience in oil & gas surface development projects with a proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams. Membership and current registration with the qualifying engineering institute is desirable.
