Business Development Underwriter - Bermuda

Our client is a leading full service general Insurance Company in Bermuda. On their behalf, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their Business Insurance Team as a Business Development Underwriter. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and have experience in providing a high level of customer service to a comprehensive client portfolio.

The primary responsibilities include:
Developing new business and assessing risk whilst working with the Underwriting Department to finalize quotations
Reviewing risk with existing clients, making recommendations for improvements
Liaising with clients and the Claims Department in the event of a claim

Minimum requirements for this position are:
5 years direct property/casualty service and sales experience
Professional designation(s) preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills

This unique career opportunity involves relocating to Bermuda for an initial term of 2-3 years or so. As such, candidates should be highly portable, with outside interests that lend themselves to this beautiful and idyllic living environment.

Relocation assistance and other benefits will be offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is paid in $USD equivalent and is nearly completely tax free (only 4.75%)!
