Chief Engineer - Mechanical and Piping

Please find below basic job specification / duties and responsibilities for the Chief Mechanical / Piping Engineer vacancy.

• Manage and develop the Mechanical/Piping functions within the company in line with ongoing business requirements
• Day to day management of Mechanical Department (currently stands at circa 35 personnel) inclusive of deployment of resource, appraisal, etc
• Technical responsibility for Mechanical output on projects
• Provide support to Mechanical sections on projects, leading projects where required by business needs
• Provide Mechanical input to proposals including the generation of estimates
• Ensure Mechanical personnel are familiar with all relevant project execution systems and the development of
• Co-ordinate Mechanical related activities on all projects by regular review with Mechanical personnel in conjunction with Project Managers and Project Engineering Managers, as appropriate
• Carry out periodic audits of Piping and Mechanical activities to demonstrate that the company Procedures and Engineering Work Practices are being followed on all contracts and to report any deviations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on legislation and best practice relating to the relevant discipline
