Bolt Tensioning and Torque Specialist

Position Required : Bolt Tensioning & Torquing Specialist

Reporting To : Operation’s Manager

A)Age Group : 25 to 40 years

Experience : Minimum 5 to 10 years in Petrochemical plants or Refinery handling Bolt Tightening operations. Overseas work experience in G.C.C. is preferred.

Educational
Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

B)
Key Specifications

–Proficient in calculating torque valves required for Bolt torquing.

–Knowledge of Bolt load calculation for Bolt tensioning jobs.

–Knowledge of using / maintaining Bolt tensioning / torquing pumps and tools.

–Knowledge of In-situ machines such as Flange facers, line boring, milling, cold cutting (pipe cutting) and hot taping machines is a added advantage.

Scope of work

–Maintain specific tools and machines, Bolt tensioning equipment in good working conditions.

–Liaise with clients, site visit, pre-engineering works for machining and execution.

–Review and comment on tenders, price and work methodology.

–Establish procedures, work schedule and supervise junior technician.

–Identify training needs, train junior / fresh technician.

–Submit required calculation, ensuring value to client as per contract requirement.

–Overall supervise section, overview and execute within budget.
