Land Surveyor

Our Client is looking for a Land Surveyor who will undertake requested land, topographic and deformation surveys using modern survey techniques and equipment. The candidate must be able to work to a supplied specification, financial and time based targets and deadlines, be responsible for a survey team and assistants, and apply quality assurance procedures. Secondary duties will include processing, analysis and presentation of 3D data using survey software and CAD applications and preparation of survey reports. Management and maintenance of survey equipment will also be required.

The candidate will need to hold as a minimum, HNC/BTEC/TSA in Land Engineering Survey or equivalent. A relevant degree in Land Surveying would be desirable, as would PTS/RYA/CSCS qualifications. It is essential that the candidate is based in the Thames Valley area and is prepared to work flexible working hours including overtime, some weekends and some work remote from the base office which may involve staying away from home for short periods of time.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate a good educational background and working experience in surveying, with a sound knowledge of surveying equipment and software. A confident user of Leica GPS/TPS equipment, and Atlas SCC survey software would be desirable, as would a working knowledge of different client based survey specifications (EA/BAA/TW). You must be a good team player, self motivated and hold a current driving licence.
