Civil Engineer - Technical Advisor

There is an immediate vacancy for a Civil Engineer who has relevant experience in Road, Bridge or Tunnel Major Infrastructure Projects to work in the current Project team.

This as a real opportunity for a commercially minded, engineer, possessing experience of contractual and risk issues in major construction projects, to branch out into a consulting environment where the complexities of risk assessment and contracts are of central concern.

It will also provide an opportunity to make regular trips overseas thus liaising with different cultures and representatives of some of the worlds leading Banks and major contractors.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate:

Detailed knowledge of the risks to programme and cost associated with the design and construction of major infrastructure works.
An understanding of risk assessment and monitoring.
An understanding of Critical Path Programming – working knowledge of ‘Primavera’ is preferred but not essential.
A good understanding of construction contracts and a desire to expand this experience by immersion in the contractual complexity of a Concession Contract Project.
An ability to write concise focused reports in plain English.
The ability to translate and explain technical jargon.
The confidence and ability to give presentations.
The ability to listen, assimilate information and not jump hastily to conclusions.
