MAC Embedded Software Designer

The person at this position is part of the embedded software group and directly reports to the Project Manager, Engineering Development.

Main Responsibilities:
• Design and implement different embedded software projects.
• Implementation includes : coding, testing and documentation.
• May occasionally be requested to travel for projects integration.

Main qualifications required:
• Electrical Eng Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in an embedded software environment
• Experience with real time embedded software (Linux, VxWorks/Tornado) and development environment
• Experience in C/C++ programming, VHDL, Verilog.
• Experience with embedded processors (ARM, MIPS, PowerPC).
• ** Important : knowledge of DOCSIS MAC or ideally 802.16 MAC.
• Knowledge in telecom protocols: TCP/IP, SNMP, FTP etc.
• Important asset : experience in wireless industry
• Team player and good communicator.
