Web Developer

My client is seeking a dynamic person with a strong development focus to join their team in North Yorkshire. The role involves maintaining and developing existing Web based systems as well as designing and developing technical solutions on multiple projects. This role will suit a person who really enjoys getting involved in the development process and is keen to learn and develop their career in a fast paced reputable institution, substantiated by good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
? At least one year’s commercial experience with a degree in Internet Computing, Computer Studies or other relevant discipline with a proven track record in Web development.
? An excellent knowledge of ASP, xHTML, JavaScript, VBScript, Visual Basic, C# (Windows Services and Applications) and SQL Server 2000 is essential.
? Proven ability to develop web-based services and applications using the Microsoft.NET framework.
? A good understanding of Java, XML, HTTP, IIS, Windows 2000 and TCP/IP is required.
? Knowledge of W3C Compliance, Accessibility Issues, Cross Browser Compatibility is desirable.
? Good communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
? MCSD or MCAD Accreditation would be beneficial.
? Knowledge of Photoshop, Acrobat, Flash and DreamWeaver would be beneficial

Key responsibilities will include:
? Maintaining and developing existing Web-based systems.
? Determining functional requirements based on the customer’s business requirements.
? Working with other team members to design and implement solutions to meet identified functional requirements.
