Solicitor - Asset Finance/ Rail

We are looking for a lawyer with 0-4 PQE gained within a major City or regional firm to undertake a range of complex finance work based in Newcastle.

Due to the continuing growth of our clients business in the areas of asset finance and other structured finance, they are looking to expand their successful team with an enthusiastic and adaptable lawyer.

This role will involve advising on transactions for some of the firm's major clients.

The scope of work is expected to be diverse, and a desire and aptitude to undertake a wide range of work, and where necessary develop your existing experience into new areas, will be essential.

A substantial proportion of existing clients in this area are involved in the transport sector, and in particular in rail.

The team is based in Newcastle, but their nationwide client base offers opportunities to travel.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience of finance work, ideally gained at least partly in asset finance, project finance or other structured finance transactions.

Experience in more general finance work, or in private equity or general corporate work, coupled with a keen and adaptable approach and a desire to develop your range of skills, might be acceptable alternatives.

Previous experience of lease financing, in particular in the rail/rolling stock sector, would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will be working with some of the firm's key clients, and good client handling skills are essential.
