Arrest Referral Practitioner

The candidate must have an understanding of substance misuse and experience of working with that particular client group. Experience working within Arrest Referral is essential. Experience working within a Drug Intervention Programme would be a benefit. In addition to this, it would be beneficial if the candidate had completed the ‘Tough Choices’ training to keep in line with the current legislation.

The successful candidate will be conducting assessments on those who have been arrested and tested positive for drugs. Further to this, the candidate will be supporting drug users within the Criminal Justice System, maximising their uptake of treatment services. The candidate will be devising and delivering assessments and care plans within custody suites, the courts and through the Criminal Justice System.
