Renewable Construction Manager (Scotland & Ireland)
Due to continued success in securing a long term pipeline of projects within their wind farm business, my client an International renewable developer have an imminent requirement for a Renewable Composition Manager to develop, maintain and grow the current teams, projects and clients throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Reporting to the C.E.O you will be involved and responsible for the following:
Manage projects from conception through to commercial operation including: Ensuring all construction activities are undertaken to appropriate standards approved by the Project Management Office.
Coordinate and manage the renewable construction team function throughout Scotland and the Ireland Engineers.
Ensure all activity is undertaken to appropriate safety standards as guided and approved by the Group Environmental Health & Safety Manager.
Ensure major wind farm and any other renewable construction project contracts are prepared and let incorporating approved company standards whilst dealing with all landowner, planning and associated political issues.
Accept developed projects for construction all open points required to be addressed before construction can commence.
Work with corporate finance to find suitable sources of funding for the project and compile a business plan in accordance with company standards and protocol for a content and timetable.
An integral part of your job will be to manage and control agreed budgets / Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet describing variance when appropriate.
You will have the responsibility of recruiting, developing and career planning within the company across Scotland and Northern Ireland along with leading and motivating Senior members of staff.
You will be degree qualified with a strong technical ability, combined with relevant industry experience, preferably in a high ranking role.
Fundamentally you will a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in both managing and recruiting other members of staff, and developing their careers.
Preferably you will have excellent managerial skills coupled with effective delegating and organisational skills. Whilst ensuring that all deadlines are adhered to and have effective judgment and decision making skills.
You will have a self starter attitude and be determined to succeed alongside ensuring the company succeeds. Crucially you will have a commitment and a genuine interest in working within a dynamic environment whilst building a successful business.
In return you will receive an excellent remuneration package and an opportunity to travel globally within the business to offices in the USA for example. Regular UK travel is essential and a requirement of the role.
